Christmas titles for the Disney parks in Florida that I created.
Here's a few Haunted Mansion Die Cut Titles that I made themed for Disney's Haunted Mansion at the Magic Kingdom.
I have a Facebook for my eBay and Etsy buyers, for those that are interested.
The Banyan tree is one of the most interesting, and unusual trees
I've every seen. I had the fortunate opportunity to be able to see and
photograph these trees in Boca Grande, in Florida. They have the most
strangest root structure.
The banyan started as a plant that grew from another plant, also known as an epiphyte, and it started it's life as just a fig. The banyan needs a fig wasp in order to reproduce. Birds will take the fruit from this tree and disperse them. Once the seeds are germinated, they grow and the roots from the germination return to the ground. This is what continues the structure of these beautiful trees. Sometimes, it's difficult to distinguish, which is the root, and which is the trunk of the tree.
Banyan's are known for the creation of bonsai trees. You know, those little miniature trees.
This tree is known to be sacred in some countries. Some refer to it as a shrine. Some people believe it is home to spirits.
It's said that the largest banyan is located in India, and it's over 250 years old. However, there's a 300 year old banyan on the island of Kabirvad. There's a banyan tree outside of Bangalore, that takes up 3 acres of land. Hilo, Hawaii has a street that's dedicated to the banyan, called Banyan Drive. Many celebrities have been known to plant banyans here.
Fort Myers, Florida had the very first banyan tree planted in the entire United States. It was planted by Thomas Edison, when it was only 4 ft. tall. It's now so large, that it covers an acre of land on the Thomas Edison estate.
The banyan tree , in India, is the national tree.
There are so many interesting facts about this tree, that it would take me a book to write them all. I know one thing, and it's that these trees catch my attention, every time I drive to Boca Grande in Florida.
My precious cat of 15 years, passed away last month, but I haven't had time to get over here on my blog to post it, like I did with Midnight, when he passed. Midnight and Smokey Joe were brothers and both are believed to have passed away due to diabetes.
These cats were our family, and will be dearly missed.
Well, looks like I'm stuck for a few days. My power supply cord on my Cameo, broke apart earlier today. I didn't even know it, until I went to plug it in, and discovered that it didn't work.
With hundreds of dollars in orders, and not getting a new cord until Tuesday, it's really going to put a damper on our orders. Looks like we'll be playing catch up the remainder of the week.
This will only affect my orders for printed paper pieces. I have no plans on watching my fingers blister while I use scissors, so the printed pieces are going to have to wait until the new power cord arrives.
This will not affect my die cut titles though, because those are cut with my Cricut cutting machine.
